What should I expect after our first contact?

After we have had a phone conversation to discuss your enquiry, our director will arrange a face-to-face meeting with you on the proposed site to discuss our process and your individual needs for the project. Following this, we will send you a personalised fee proposal outlining costs to carry out the work required to get your project to site.

Can you design the home for us?

Yes we can absolutely assist with the design of your new home. We prefer to work alongside our clients from the very beginning of their design and construct journey to ensure a creative and functional design that suits their budget. If you would like to take up this option, we work with you to create your home design brief before selecting one of our partnered Architects who we feel is best suited to your project. Together, we will work with yourself and the architect to create the design you are envisioning.

Can you manage our approval process?

Our in-house project coordinators manage the entire approvals process, alongside our town planner, to ensure a professional, smooth and efficient approval process.

How do we get a budget together for what we want to build?

Once we gather all the information we need from you in regards to your project requirements, we use your requested home size to set a suitable square metre rate tailored to your home requirements. This allows your to have a clear understanding of what your project will cost prior to moving forward with us.

Can we bring our plans to you to build for us?

You are certainly able to provide a set of plans that you have already had designed and request us to price the build. We will review all the provided documentation and, if the home design is within our design guidelines, we will happily work with you towards and on construction.

Do you charge to create tenders?

Yes, we do charge for our tenders. Unlike some other builders who only provide free estimates, the tender and pricing you will receive from Artico Custom Homes encompasses every detail, and as a result does takes time and additional hours to put together.

Can I use my own trades, suppliers and consultants?

We have ongoing agreements with all of our trades, suppliers and consultants, who understand our requirements when it comes to building an Artico Custom Home. To be able to offer you a seamless and efficient process, we do not allow external suppliers to work on our projects.

How long will the build take once we get to construction?

Depending on the complexity of home design, we work on a minimum of 12 and up to 18 months. We will always outline the build time at tender stage.

Are there any hidden costs within your tenders?

Our tenders outline all inclusions and exclusions, however we do not include allowances for excavation until site works are commenced due to the unknown nature of the excavation once it has commenced. We will however, discuss this with you at tendering stage and always ensure full transparency to eliminate surprises.

Do you use subcontractors to build your homes or full time staff?

Our sites use licensed and insured subcontractors who adhere to strict guidelines. Our preference is to use small, owner-operated businesses to ensure consistent quality throughout our projects.

Do we do our interior design and selections with you?

We work with a few select interior designers, who we will select based on your specific project. They will work alongside our project coordinators to assist you through all the interiors and selections for your home.
